The HYDSTAR® Hydraulic Piston Pump is a positive displacement pump that moves and pressurizes fluid by using one or more reciprocating pistons. The pump consists of a cylinder and a piston that moves back and forth inside the cylinder. The piston has one or more O-rings on its periphery, which seal against the cylinder as the piston moves. The piston draws liquid into the cylinder and pushes it out under pressure as the volume in the cylinder gets progressively larger and then smaller as the piston reciprocates.

Applications:
The HYDSTAR® Hydraulic Piston Pump provides a constant flow of fluid and provides increased efficiency and performance and provides high efficiency, precise flow control, and the ability to handle a wide range of viscosities.

Excavators

For hydraulic systems in CAT medium-to-large crawler excavator series (such as the 330 and 336 series—specifically new-generation or specially configured models).

Wheel Loaders

For auxiliary hydraulic, steering, or pilot control circuits in CAT medium-to-large wheel loader series (such as the 966, 972, and 980).

Motor Graders & Road Machinery

For main working or auxiliary hydraulic pump circuits in select CAT 140, 150, and 160 series motor graders.
